Karapuzha Irrigation Project

The main aim of Kerala’s Karapuzha irrigation project is to use the water of the Karapuzha River to irrigate Wayanad’s large agricultural lands. This project involves making a terrain dam with a canal across the river. Although this project has been in progress for many years, some parts of the infrastructure and dam are now completed. The next step includes creating a canal network so that the water can be supplied to the farms easily. Once the project is completed, it will boost crop yields, improve farming, and will boost the local economy as well.
